INFORMATIONS A PROPOS DU TAROT :
Apparu pour la première fois en 1919 dans le Larousse mensuel, le Tarot de Nicolas Rolichon est le tout premier Tarot dit «de Marseille» connu à ce jour. La photo du jeu publiée dans le Larousse mensuel ayant été réalisée à partir d’une planche à graver, les couleurs d’origines ne nous sont pas parvenues.
Etant donné qu’aucun exemplaire d’époque n’a pour le moment été retrouvée, nous ne pouvons qu’émettre des théories concernant les couleurs utilisées. Afin de restaurer les couleurs, je me suis principalement inspiré du tarot de Philippe Vachier de 1639 mais aussi du tarot de Jean Payen de 1743, du tarot de Jean Dodal, du tarot de Guillaume Dubesset, du tarot de Jean-Pierre Payen de 1713 ainsi que du tarot de Charles Cheminade.
La publication faisant apparaître 22 arcanes majeurs et 13 arcanes mineurs, le jeu est à ce jour incomplet.
Edition limitée à 50 exemplaires comprenant une restauration du jeu, réalisée en 2023 à Aix en Provence par Florent Giraud.

INFORMATIONS about the deck :
First appearing in 1919 in the Larousse mensuel, Nicolas Rolichon's Tarot is the very first Tarot known to this day as a "Marseille" Tarot. The photo of the deck published in the Larousse mensuel was made from an engraving plate, so the original colors have not come down to us.
Since no copy from the period has been found to date, we can only put forward theories regarding the colors used. To restore the colors, I mainly drew inspiration from Philippe Vachier's Tarot of 1639, but also from Jean Payen's Tarot of 1743, Jean Dodal's Tarot, Guillaume Dubesset's Tarot, Jean-Pierre Payen's Tarot of 1713, and Charles Cheminade's Tarot.
The publication features 22 major arcana and 13 minor arcana, so the deck is incomplete to this day.
